AC/DC's "Highway To Hell" Likely To Become #1 In UK

The Christmas Number One song in the United Kingdom is a big deal to music fans across the pond.

Over the past decade, winners of the UK version of The X Factor have dominated.  Notably, Rage Against The Machine knocked off the 2009 winner of The X Factor after a social media campaign.  Killing in the Name beat Joe McElderry's cover of Miley Cyrus' The Climb.

A Facebook page asking fans to download AC/DC's Highway To Hell during the Christmas season has over 100,000 likes.  Check out the page here.

The page is asking fans to download to song in the week of December 15th through the 21st.

NME says that the odds of Highway to Hell claiming the Christmas title are at 3/1.  The X Factor winner has better odds at 11/8.  For now.

AC/DC formed 40 years ago and this is sort of a Christmas/anniversary present to the band.  They've never had a top 10 single in the UK.
