Blues Legend Johnny Winter Dies at 70

Legendary blues guitarist/singer/producer Johnny Winter has died at 80.  He was in his hotel room in Zurich, Switzerland.

Winter is best known for his work in the 1960's and 1970's and the albums he produced for his hero Muddy Waters.

Winter had been touring Europe.  On Saturday, he played at the Lovely Days Festival in Austria.

A Facebook note said, "His wife, family and bandmates are all saddened by the loss of their loved one and one of the world's finest guitarists."

Johnny is the brother of another well known musician, Edgar Winter.
