REM's Michael Stipe to Induct Nirvana into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

REM's Michael Stipe to Induct Nirvana into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

REM's Michael Stipe will induct Nirvana into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on April 10.  Stipe was a close friend of Nirvana's late front-man, Kurt Cobain.  He is also the godfather of his daughter, Frances Bean.

There is no word on whether the surviving members will perform together.

Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello will induct Kiss.  Kiss will not perform.

Bruce Springsteen will induct the E Street Band.  They will perform.  Coldplay's Chris Martin will induct Peter Gabriel, who will play.

The ceremony is on April 10, but it will not air until May 31 on HBO.

Despite the lack of confirmation on if Nirvana will perform together, one would assume that they will.  Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic are on great terms and have played together a lot in the last couple of years.

Who will play with them?
