The Black Keys Tried Sampling on New Album

The Black Keys will release their new album, Turn Blue, on May 13.  It will feature something the band has never done before.

Sampling.

A track on the album, Year in Review, features a sample of Nico Fidenco.  Fidenco is an Italian movie soundtrack composer and singer.  Drummer Patrick Carney tells NME that the track is, "the first song we've ever used a sample on."

The first track on the album, Weight of Love, is the band's longest song, ever. Front-man Dan Auerbach says, "I've never done a guitar solo like that."

Auerbach also told NME, that he and Carney only left the studio once during the two week recording process.
