Allman Brothers announce 'final shows'

The Allman Brothers Band has rescheduled missed Beacon Theater dates, which the band says is part of their "final plans."

The make-good dates at the famed New York City venue are set for October 21st, 22nd, 24th, and 25th.  The Allmans will then play what they're calling "the final shows" for the group, also at the Beacon, on October 27th and 28th.

Guitarist Derek Trucks who, along with Warren Haynes, is leaving the band at the end of this year, tells Billboard.com he's not sure if "final" really means the end of the group.  He admits their original idea was to "go out strong" and "end it together" with the Allman Brothers Band's 45th anniversary.  But Trucks says now that it's "becoming a realty for the other guys," he's not sure if "that's exactly how it's gonna go down."  He adds that he'd "never count that band out."
